Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Sparky Idea Inc. ("Dashseller," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, dashboard, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who We Are
Dashseller is a multichannel commerce dashboard that helps online sellers manage products, listings, orders, and inventory across connected marketplaces (currently eBay and Shopify).
The data controller for the Service is:
Sparky Idea Inc. 2220 65th St Brooklyn, NY 11204 United States Email: [email protected]
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, password (stored hashed), and any optional profile details such as a display name, username, or avatar.
- Authentication credentials: passkeys (public key only) and session tokens used to keep you signed in.
- Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, billing details are processed by our payment processor; we store only the metadata needed to manage your subscription.
- Support communications: messages you send us and any attachments.
2.2 Information from connected marketplaces
When you connect an eBay or Shopify account, we receive and store:
- OAuth tokens (access and refresh tokens) issued by the marketplace, used to call the marketplace's API on your behalf. Tokens are encrypted at rest.
- Catalog data: products, variants, SKUs, prices, inventory levels, images, categories.
- Order data: order line items, customer ship-to addresses, fulfillment status, shipping labels, returns, and related metadata.
- Shop and account metadata: shop name, shop ID, marketplace user ID, currency, and similar settings.
We only request the OAuth scopes needed to provide the Service. You can disconnect a marketplace account at any time from your Dashseller settings.
2.3 Information collected automatically
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy for details.
2.4 Information we do not collect
- We do not collect information from children under 13.
- We do not knowingly process special categories of personal data (such as biometric, health, or precise geolocation data) and ask that you not submit such information through the Service.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Sync products, listings, inventory, and orders between Dashseller and your connected marketplaces;
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- Process payments and manage subscriptions;
- Communicate with you about the Service, including security alerts, billing notices, and product updates;
- Respond to support requests;
- Monitor usage, debug issues, and improve the Service;
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service;
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Bases (Where Applicable)
Where required by law, we rely on the following legal bases to process your information: (a) performance of our contract with you; (b) your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); (c) compliance with a legal obligation; and (d) our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below.
5.1 Service providers (subprocessors)
We use vetted third parties to operate the Service. Each is bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations and may only process your data on our instructions.
| Subprocessor | Purpose | Region |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services | Cloud hosting and object storage (S3) | United States |
| Trigger.dev | Background job processing for marketplace sync | United States |
| Resend | Transactional email delivery | United States |
| Our database host | Managed Postgres database | United States |
We will update this list when subprocessors change.
5.2 Connected marketplaces
When you authorize a connection, we exchange data with the corresponding marketplace API (eBay or Shopify) as needed to perform the actions you request (for example, creating a listing or fulfilling an order).
5.3 Legal and safety
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is required to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Service; to detect or prevent fraud or security issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dashseller, our users, or the public.
5.4 Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 8).
When you disconnect a marketplace, we delete the OAuth tokens for that connection. Catalog and order data synced before disconnection may be retained in your account so historical records remain available, until you delete the account.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest for sensitive fields such as marketplace OAuth tokens, hashed passwords, scoped access controls, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: request a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your information.
- Portability: request a machine-readable copy of information you provided.
- Opt-out: opt out of certain processing (see Section 9 for California specifics).
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30–45 days).
9. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), gives you rights to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of your personal information.
- Categories of personal information collected: identifiers (name, email, IP address), commercial information (subscription and order data synced from your marketplaces), internet or network activity, and inferences drawn from the foregoing.
- Sale or sharing: we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Sensitive personal information: we use sensitive personal information (such as account credentials) only for the purposes permitted by Section 7027(m) of the CCPA regulations.
- Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny you service or charge you a different price for exercising your rights.
To exercise California rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before responding.
10. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. By using the Service, you consent to that transfer.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
